About Katrien

I crafted my education and my corporate and consulting career to help biotech ventures discover where scientific breakthroughs meet real market needs.

From science to market discovery

After a biotech master, I spent 15 years in corporate techno-commercial roles, including European key account manager at QIAGEN, European field account specialist and EMEA marketing manager at Thermo Fisher.

Today, I apply my strategic, business development, communication and branding skills in market discovery for life science, biotech and deep tech ventures. Scientists and engineers discover what the technology can do. I discover where the market needs it, values it and is willing to adopt it.

By combining stakeholder and expert interviews with industry reports and scientific literature, I help teams make informed decisions on market needs, adoption drivers, competitive dynamics, pricing potential and viable business models.

The goal? To align scientific breakthroughs with real market needs and long-term value creation. I’m thrilled to work on the ever-moving frontier of bioconvergence.
